My car is an 05 acura TL. I'm considering buying a 15 TLX.
Might pay cash for it if I can find it cheap enough.

I dislike the TLX series if I'm being honest. They look nice on the outside, but the inside leave something to be desired, what even more egregious is that the Honda Accord has apple carplay in the higher trim levels, the TLX doesn't. On top of that's it doesn't handle nearly as sporty as it should.

my wife has a 2017 accord hybrid with car play. I asked the acura people why this car didn't have it and they said, that because a lot of acuras have navigation integrated already, that apple was focusing on cars that didn't have those features
that carplay ain't a game changer for me at all tho. it's cool, and I like being able to use some apps like maps and tunein radio. but I dont like how your messages notifications cannot be turned off. that's bullshyt. not like I have shyt to hide, but I don't like that feature.
however, my wife's car also has automatic start. that car is loaded, so she' paid acura prices for a fukking honda. I'd rather pay less and have the V6 TLX instead. and her hybrid car is sooooo slow. you can't accelerate for shyt in that car. I don't need hybrid type mileage since I work from home anyways.

Yea the carplay has some quirks, oddly enough I got it in my daughters Malibu, that I drive sometimes. But honestly dollar for the dollar, the Honda Accord is a nicer car than the Acura, and the only reason to get the Acura is the available AWD and the 8 speed transmission (or 7 speed, I forget offhand)
But their super handling all wheel drive is the best.
I fukk with the TLX heavy. W/lite mods the shyt looks crazy.
No its not a German car. But a German car for TLX money is going to be a slow POS with vinyl seats and no equipment. IMO the TLX looks just as good as that 3rd gen TL if not better

As an Acura TL owner, I completely agree. Lexus is killing the game right now.

sooooo, I ended up getting a 2015 TLX base model with 15K miles on it. it's a silver blue type of color, but EVERYONE insist it's silver
dark interior. the reason I got the base model besides it being cheaper, was that the options in the higher packages aren't important to me. the fog lights, and the navigation and the safety features like adaptive cruise control and lane assist aren't worth the extra bread. my wife has all that shyt on her car, and I dont like it, nor would I ever pay for it. the only thing I like about my wife's honda is the carplay integration which is better than the regular ipod integration on my car.
so far so good with the car tho. probably keep this one 9 or 10 years like the last whip.
also this car was much cheaper with more options than the competitors like lexus es, audi a4, and bmw 3 series.

I felt the same as the bold part when I bought my TL. Sure it's not a Beamer or the others, but I have navi, sound system, aesthetics, cheaper and less headaches.
