Anyone know someone who just got back from Japan, or has some Japanese Yen that they don't plan to use anytime soon? I'll exchange it with them for US Dollars at the current rate on the day we meet. I can go to them anywhere in NYC. I'm trying to avoid paying bank and currency exchange fees. By the time I make it back to Japan, the exchange rate is most likely not going to be as good, so it doesn't make sense for me to wait to take it out from an ATM while I'm over there. Please feel free to reply here, or message me privately.

I always just used ATMs at 7-11 or any of their other combinis like Lawsons, family mart.

That's what I used to do too

It got up to 160, but it's currently about 153.5. It's still good, but not as good as it was. If I can find someone to exchange hand-to-hand it would still be a better deal than going through a currency exchange agency.

Breh as someone who has been when the rate was 1 USD to 75 YEN you just being greedy breh. :heh:

Just get a Schwab acct to avoid transaction fees.

Worst case just buy some yen off the locals when you get there.
