Looking to purchase an A6, probably going to go with a 2013 after the 2014's really start rolling out. How's the repair bills and regular maintenance on Audi's (oil changes, brakes, etc.)? I already know I'll be spending more on maintenance than my Corolla, but trying to get a rough estimate so I know what I'm getting into.

Rough estimate......I know you asked for Audi owners, but I drive a VW and some of my parts are the same and say "Audi" on them

For VW, you have to take it in every 10,000 miles for a "check-up" to keep ur warranty in tact. Expect to spend about $100-150 each time for that. But that does include oil changes(which on their own are $75 each time) amongst other things. And for VW, they will tell you to get the oil changed every 5K miles early on, but after awhile you can wait to do it every 10K miles. And also, I would probably put mid-grade or premium gas in there only. I can definitely tell the difference in how the cars runs between those two and 87 grade

I'm sure Audi can't be too far off from that for the BASIC stuff.

Dam, every 10k is sweet. Friend of a friend who is an Audi mechanic was telling me where he work they usually charge $125 per hour for labor . Using mid or greater fuel is something to get used to also.

I dont own Audi but I own Euro, and that maintenance might kick u in the a$$, as far as repairs go though do you anticipate that something will go wrong on a 2013 that wont be covered under CPO? Where are you buying from ? Private? Carmax? Dealer?

Try to find one that already has an Audi Care plan on it so you won't have to worry about the maintenance intervals for a bit.

Yeah every 10K is cool, but for the first 40,000-50,000 miles or so, you're "supposed" to do it every 4-5,000 miles.

Volkswagens use synthetic oil....I would assue Audi does too, but not sure.

I'm going for a dealer. For the next couple of years I'm not expecting there to be much out of the ordinary repair cost but I plan on having this car for a while.

I bought my 06 A6 in 2009, it has 30k mi on it. I now have 140k. Rolling!!! I might have spend 2000$ in maintenance over almost 5 years. Not bad. Honestly, I'd grab a used one if I was you.

Sounds like a tank, 5 years strong and no major problems. I'm most likely going for a 2012/13 with 30k miles or less on it. I thought about going later but I want one with the redesign and they did that in 2012.
