I swear, George Zimmerman has more lives than a cat. After being acquitted for the murder of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin, the man gets out of multiple scrapes with the law, most recently a domestic violence charge involving girlfriend Samantha Schiebe. However, not only was he cleared of all charges regarding the incident, but apparently, Schiebe has actually taken Zimmerman back. Well, that isn’t too surprising, considering the most recent development in the Zimmerman saga. It seems that he has actually sold a piece of artwork on eBay for $100k. Now, for the fame- chasing types that would date Zimmerman at this point, that kind of money might be rather attractive, no? But, I digress. From the LA Times:
How much is a painting created by George Zimmerman worth?
For one EBay bidder, $100,099.99 was just the right price.
The user’s prize: A signed 18-inch-by-24-inch oil painting of a blue American flag featuring a part of the Pledge of Allegiance, which had a starting bid of $0.99.
The identity of the buyer is unknown, but according to the listing, the winning auction bid was one of 96 by 24 users when bidding closed at 9:55 a.m. Saturday.
Using the EBay account “therealgeorgez,” Zimmerman, 30, put his artwork up for auction early this week.
“Everyone has been asking what I have been doing with myself,” the listing reads. “I found a creative way to express myself, my emotions and the symbols that represent my experiences. My art work allows me to reflect, providing a therapeutic outlet and allows me to remain indoors :-)
That isn’t all, though. The same Times blogger has alerted us all to an even scarier fact – Zimmerman has his guns back. Life might be looking up for him at the moment, but, with firearms in his possession, it is only a matter of time before there is more trouble. Don’t worry, we here at Addicting Info will keep you posted.
