When I was a kid the ref didn't call this blatant facemask where dude on our team sprained his neck. I mean, he had the ball. So he's laying on the ground and our teammate, this bull of dude who later played DT in college actually chased the ref. This was 6th grade. What no one noticed was the bull dude's uncle who was a big ass bull was running on the field, he put a serious haymaker on the ref, then the rest of his family goes after the ref. Took all the coaches and refs from both sides to get those bulls off dude. Some wild scenes in youth sports. Parents are serious.

I know I did not have the physical capability to make it into pro sports even though I was athletically inclined when I was young. I do wish I got into refereeing/umpiring when I was younger. I never knew how or options.
I think I could have seriously made it to MLB or NBA or NHL or NFL level if I pursued it, if not NCAA Div I sports or triple AAA semi-pro baseball or semi-pro hockey.

Not excusing anything in this vid but this should bring further light to how serious youth sports are and how is almost to the point where kids don't enjoy them any more
