I limited it to three since damn near everybody on GOT dies. Hodor and Lady Tyrell are excluded - otherwise, we'd all name them. (They're just givens.) Not necessarily the most important deaths, just the ones that hit you the hardest, good or bad.

1. The sacrifice of Princess Shireen. This death always gets overlooked b/c that red-headed bytch resurrected Jon. I don't care if she resurrected Ned Stark himself. I will ALWAYS hate Melisandre.

Good Lord, where do you start?

  • The men who stand around while she's killed, then leave because she was killed later that night. WTF didn't you do anything BEFORE she died!?
  • The way her mother Selyse broke at the last second. Selyse was every bit the fanatic Melisandre was, and she was always dumping on her daughter. But in the end, who tried to put an end to it before it was too late? Her mother. And when it was all over, she hanged herself. Brutal.
  • Stannis's punk ass refusing to even look at his child as she burned to death.

2. The suicide of King Tommen Baratheon. I was in a bar when the S6 finale was playing, and everybody cheered when he killed himself. For me, I was so happy that Tommen finally made a decision for himself. Talk about the ultimate "fukk you" to Cersei Lannister. :lolbron:

3. The (pending) deaths of Ellaria and Tyene Sand. This is the only time I have truly loved Cersei. First of all, I hated Ellaria for talking shyt like she was an actual wife and not like the side ho she was. "Eating our food, breathing our air..." Ho, have a seat. Second, Ellaria's need for vengeance after Oberyn's stupid speechifyin' ass at Tyrion's trial by combat was beyond ridiculous. Dude lost fair and square, and he would've won easily if he hadn't been such a showoff. But to kill Princess Myrcella just for the hell of it was some fukkshyt. And since Tyene had an active hand in it, she had to go, too. An eye for an eye, a kiss for a kiss. It was flawless.

So! Those are my top three GOT deaths. What say you, brehs?

Pawgs with dragons
1. Ned Stark

This was where any preconceived notions left about what this show was and how it would play out went out the window. The supposed "main character" being killed in the first season:wow:Probably the most important death in the show.

2. Oberyn Martell

This one hit me hard when I read it. Pedro Pascal really brought the character to life and made his onscreen death matter that much more. Those screams:damn:

3. Khal Drogo

I was a Dany fan from the beginning and was convinced she and Drogo were gonna fukk shyt up for seasons to come:wow:For him to go out the way he did hit me hard:mjcry:
But we got them dragons out of the deal:shaq:

Honorable Mention: Aegon "Jon Snow" Targaryen

this was essentially the point where book readers would be going forward blind as to what was going to happen. It was a sign of the beginning of the end of the series.

Seeing Jon kill one of the WW lieutenants at Hardhomme with the dragonglass sword was a :ohhh:moment.

Little Fingers death was bittersweet.

Cersei destroying the high sparrows and half the city was crazy too

Ned... for obvious, show defining reasons.

The Sept... maybe the show's most cinematic sequence.

Oberyn... vicious

Ned - Set the tone for the show on how anyone could get it.
Oberyn - One of the most vicious death's I've seen on TV or film. I actually stopped watching the show for 2 seasons because he was becoming my favorite character.
Danaerys brother - He got what he wanted.

Ned, set the tone.

Joffrey, very shocking.

Oberyn, brutal. Crushed the viewers hope. Means less when Tyrion is freed 2 eps later though.

Jon Snows death seemed like it wasnt final. Tywins death changed the show a lot but I didnt like how it played out.
