A New Hope is pretty slow until they get to the Death Star. It’s all necessary worldbuilding and character development though, so I respect it.
A New Hope is a better film than Return of the Jedi, but there’s a part of me that likes Jedi just a little bit more because of the Jabba’s palace sequence, the space battle over the second Death Star, and Vader’s redemption at the end. I just wish Boba Fett hadn’t gone out like such a punk.
I would put Clone Wars and the Mandalorian over Rogue One, but those are both TV shows so I didn’t count those. RO was pretty blah until the third act IMO.
Episodes 1 and 2 aren’t amazing movies but I appreciate what they did for the lore. The sequels don’t exist in my world.
