I'd need a little bit more info... but from what you put it seems that there is a great deal of sexual tension. The son is clearly banging the mother and it would seem that the grandmother, if she isn't already, clearly wants in on some of this action. Oh, she's not concerned about her son working at the cousin's business. He's a nice guy who runs a real business, nothing illegal or dangerous. She was upset her mom went behind her back.

There is a mother, her son and a grandmother. No father involved. So the son has a legitimate job and making so-so money, no college degree. He's an adult, not in high school, but lives with his mom. The grandmother talks to someone she knows who has a business or is a supervisor and asks the dude if he can hook up her grandson with a job. Dude is cool with that and contacts the grandson. He gets hired. The work is the same but the pay is a bit better. Grandson is happy with the new job.
The mother finds out and is angry. She's angry because the mother did this whole thing "behind" her back.

What is your opinion?

He is a constant and daily reminder of this person and as he gets older it intensifies because he begins to look more like and even adopt the mannerisms of his father. She has a sick and twisted mixture of love/hate for him. Her cruelty towards him is her outlet for her anger towards his father. Her mother(his grandmother) does not harbor these same prejudices towards him. Shot in the dark.

I don't have the entire 411 on what happened when she was growing up and what happened during her marriage.

But, I'm pretty sure she would physically assault Dr. Oz if she were on the show and he started asking the tough questions.
