So, there are some stick charactors in all media that work time and time again, and of course, wrestling is no exception..the all american hero...the anti american foreign heel....the enforcer who stays silent behind the main heel...ricky morton....the monster heel...etc

What are your favorites?

My #1 favorite is the heel suited up arrogant champion, talking down the crowd, embarassing the good guy. Bockwinkle...flair...jbl...jericho...corporate rock (substituting suits for silk shirt)...

Contract signing ending in complete violence.

Chris adams build up to a Super kick trope

Heel in stable loses close title encounter to beloved face beat down.

Jericho meets the spouse or gf angles. As I know Jericho gon make and give legendary hell. You just have to wait for it.

The hot tag
False Babyface comeback

Silent enforcer, definitely. They're doing great with it with Solo right now.

Suited up Champ as well, but few have the swag to pull that off.

I like a good chicken shyt heel that hides behind their people/stable because of the potential to build more stars when they're tired of being human shields - to that end, a good mutiny within a stable and the drama of the fallout.

Paranoid champ that'll do anything to keep their spot.

Can't speak for modern wrestling outside of that Gunther dude, but the "hard-nosed/technical wrestler who isn't afraid to get physical", including:

William Regal

Kurt Angle

Booker T

Tazz

Bret/Owen Hart

Brock

JBL and Farooq

(He Who Shall Not Be Named )

The Radicalz as a whole

As a little mark between the ages of 5-9, matches involving these guys felt REAL.

Recently, I watched a match between Regal and (Redacted), and halfway into it they clinched up and started headbutting each other until they both bled. Hard way.

Regal's screaming and selling afterwards makes for an intense visual.

Even had Tazz and Cole stuttering on commentary for a moment, had them both watching like "Whoa... :whoa:"
