They know nothing about nutrition :leostare:

They know nothing about weightlifting :leostare:

Can't seem to grasp that muscle weighs more than fat, so they judge your health purely based on weight relative to your height :leostare:

Don't even get me started on the ones who try to tell you how you should lift when they're built like a busted can of biscuits. :leostare:

Had one doc tell me "there is no reason to lift as much as you do" :leostare:

Understand that the majority of a doctors patients are not lifters like us, but rather fat depressed soccer moms and 45 year old beer belly men. So a lot of their standards are geared towards getting them in shape.

I have a great relationship with my doctor thankfully, she knows I go hard in the gym. She's gave me a few pain shots and steroid (anti inflammatory) shots :mjpls: when I got injured. She be lookin out for ya boy

Thank god for specialists. :blessed:

I take my ass to a sports med. physician for any physical injury. Have known mine for 8 years. Dudes resume with athletes is retarded.

If I had to go to my regular family doc for all my aches and bruises, I'd probably be worse of than I am now :heh: Stick to healing my sinuses bruh.

Well, when it comes to weightlifting, not all doctors are athletes or into sports.
If you are heavy because you are carrying more muscle, then you can ignore the height/weight ratio for regular people.
Just tell them you workout x times a week. No need to go into details like how much you lift.

Can relate to OP post 100%.

Add mothers, relatives, etc to that list too.

"why are you lifting so much? what is the point."

"why are you eating so much protein in a day? wtf?"

me - :whoa: :skip:

isnt the blood pressure and blood tests supposed to be the true indicators though

Blood pressure is an indicator for high blood pressure.
Blood tests are an indicator for high cholesterol.

So, yes, do get regular checkups. If you are into weight lifting, your blood pressure and cholesterol should show you are healthy.
But it will also show if you have high or borderline high blood pressure or bad cholesterol. Even if you weight lift regularly, these numbers might be borderline... like me. :sadbron:

I sorta know that feel. I hadn't lifted heavy in a good while, but my numbers were still off. It's what's pushed me to do more cardio and change my diet. Feels bad, man. :noah:
