1. THE SETUP

The first act in this movie is really strong imo. It's fast, compelling, and sets up all the main characters quite nicely. Yea it's a familiar story, but with a different twist and the characters all feel lively and fresh. Finn's origin I found especially gripping.

2. BB-8

Time will tell when it comes to Rey, Finn and Kylo but this little droid has already achieved instant icon status. A modern, innovative, even cuter take on R2-D2. Such a great character.

3. KYLO REN

All in all just a really cool character. Not so much when has his mask off but when it's on he had quite a commanding presence on screen. Mystery, rage and swag all rolled into one. A bit of a Vader rip-off but still really, really cool. Possible icon status if his character sticks the landing in the next two films.

WORST

1. KATHLEEN KENNEDY

"Make sure the protag is a strong, kickass unbeatable female. Oh and could you make a movie that looks, feels, and plays exactly like the original Star Wars?"

2. THE STORY

Too much missing info in between Episode 6 and Episode 7 imo. If this is the next episode in the adventure then why skip over such a huge part of the story? Why are the big 3 in such different places than when we last saw them? We waited 30 years to see what happened next, why all the mystery? And did Han and Leia really need to be deadbeat parents?

3. SNOKE

Terrible character design, terrible CGI, and almost no inkling as to who or what he really is. Right now he's just a generic cartoon villain and a discount looking Voldemort. I have no idea what they were thinking. Looked like total dogshyt. Thought he was a giant for almost half the film. :snoop:
