If that lack of education on your resume is holding you back and you want to lie, the best way to do it is pick a school that doesn't exist anymore. Now this is really for people who are close to 30 or over 30 that has the work experience but lack the education. For example, lets say you from Cali and you graduated high school between 96-99. There's a college in Cali that went bankrupt in 2002. This particular school only gave up 2 year degrees but you can easily say you got one. Now obviously I wouldn't try this for jobs where the company will properly vet you but I think it will at least get you in the door for an interview. With a lot of jobs its all about the perception.
