For those not familiar, this is Rikishi after The Sultan gimmick, but before he became Rikishi in the WWF. Rikishi debuted in late '99 on either Heat or Metal, but this JR Smooth gimmick was in the Power Pro Wrestling development territory for a couple months beforehand. Looks like it isn't only 2018 WWE that makes changes to gimmicks before they hit the main roster One thing these vids let you know is that Rikishi wasn't originally just an "I Did It For The Rock" guy.

Yep that's Umaga. That specific territory only last 3 years, but Umaga and Rosey were affiliated with various WWF development feds. So basically, they were connected with the WWF for a little over 4 years before being called up to Raw.
