Chalk it up to the game, take the L etc.

As a man your head is as heavy as you wear your crown. You gonna have the added stress of bullshyt of being a man in this world on top of that. It's important to remind yourself of what you are capable of and what you are in control of.

Give yourself the floor when need be and confined in those with they mind right. Not just to hold your hand, but to call you out when need be. A home requires many builders and consistent upkeep to remain standing.

13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

1 Corinthians 16:13

one of the most insightful things I read recently, is that the brain is essentially always trying to get back to 0. To neutral. Framing this around wins and losses is like this:

Pleasure will take you high, but you have to back to neutral. Less pleasurable experiences will take you lower, but you have to go back to neutral.

it's how you deal with and enjoy both.

and if you can reframe wins and losses as just different life experiences, it smoothes all that out. Sometimes in one day, you can go through so many mini wins and losses, but it's navigating that that matters.

This is a beautiful mentality to have and something I’m working on. Learning to appreciate the lows or at least what can I learn from it because that’s what gives more meaning to the highs.

Adding to this your brain can't tell the difference between good and bad only what is like you said pleasurable and unpleasurable. Sometimes we have to ignore our brains and do the unpleasurable things because they are good for us

100%. Like when I get up, the first thing I do is make my bed. For years and years. Non negotiable. But how many out of 365 does my brain want to do that bullshyt? None. But as soon as it's done, I feel better. Did cognitive behavior therapy when I was young, so learned some of this back then.

@ConPHIdential, and I struggle with it the same. I am straight up hedonistic. Anything that gives me pleasure, sex, chocolate chip cookies, beauty, money, I will want to double down on. And triple down. and so on. but you can't always do that. Can feel that feeling of wanting to go further every time and sometimes you have to just center yourself and enjoy the one thing.
