Why does google do this? It only shows stuff from like maybe 3-4 years back. I am searching for stuff like maybe 10 years go. It existed in the searches before but now it disappeared. Wayback machine sucks

Search results are not cached or saved for years. Websites come and go. There is no reason to provide a link to a non-existent website. A user of Google does not want a link to a dead web-site.
The web-crawler searches for most recent result because they will be more relevant. You can search for stuff on Aaron Rodgers. The latest and most relevant results will show up first. There will be old news links but you have to go deeper into the results to find those articles.
