They pay companies to keep good reviews up and delete bad ones. They hit me up all the time to try and sell me. No thanks.

They extort companies. fukk them. If you pay you can get your negative reviews deleted or push down. Guess what happens if you don't pay.

I don't like their practices with the businesses but overall I just love food and pics so I compromise. I'm an elite yelper and the special events are fun if you like free food and socializing. It's pretty easy to tell real reviews vs fakes by the account history and stuff outside reviews like discussion participation, photos added, event check ins, etc. A fake poster would rarely have any fav lists unless multiple companies all the same cuisine paid them to post.
