I've been saying this for years. the SEC lives/plays in its own little bubble. They made Tim Tebow look like Steve Young. Look at all the great QB's to come out of the SEC and look at how they faired in the NFL. A lot of flops.

I think the SEC produces a lot of solid NFL talent on defense by they produce a lot of garbage ass nikkas as well. The SEC consists of 3 teams (FLorida, LSU, Alabama) and everyone else. they so called defense looks good against garbage ass SEC offenses. Cam Newton came through for ONE season and crushed the buildings. Ryan Malett (sp.) came from the big ten and did his thing. Texas A&M and their freshman QB giving them headaches.


At the end of the day parity lives in college football and the SEC isn't immune to it.

that's my point. The best SEC defenses are no better than the best defenses in other conferences. ND's defense is better than any in the SEC this year though. I wasn't impressed last night. Alabama's defense is overrated. A lot of top SEC defenders are overrated when the get to the NFL as well. Nick Fairley is the latest to come into the fold.

A lot of defenders from ANY conference can be overrated and will be a bust in the NFL

The proof is in the pudding in the last few National Championships, they just choose to ignore it. In most of these games the # of points scored against the SEC defenses these teams faced dropped dramatically.

I guess some people choose to not actually understand what they're watching

The truth is usually always in the middle. The SEC is not as great as people try to make it out to be, but at the same time the conference is not overrated the way others try to make it out to be. With all of that said, I think it is foolish to say they haven't been the best conference in the last 8 to 10 years or so.

And yes OP you do make some bad threads
