Cloutius Maximus
with the aid of the Funk...
It's been five years since it dropped
The driving scenes
The cinematography
The music
That whole sequence a Spahn Ranch was tense as fukk
The stacked cast with everyone from Al Pacino to new faces like Austin Butler
It was funny as fukk ("he said was the devil and he came to do...some devil shyt") and Quentin's most mature work to date.
Maybe I'm biased because I'm from the LA area (tho I generally dislike moves about movies/Hollywood with few exceptions like Ed Wood), Pulp Fiction has been ripped off so many times it's impact has been dulled a bit, I always thought Inglorious Basterds was overrated outside of a few scenes like the classic first 20 mins, love Django but felt the ending was rushed. OUATIH is pure piff and endlessly rewatchable. I'm excited for his next film whenever that comes.
