:krs: I noticed awhile back that some of you nikkas is still upset about white people's influence and involvement in hip hop and especially album sales. If you're one of them nikkas I dare you to bring your ass in here and hate on Ross.

People want to try and sweep this under the rug, but what Ross did in 2012 needs to be talked about. He sold 200k to a MAJORITY black audience. Who else is doing that these days? Not Kanye, not Drake, not J.Cole, not Lil Wayne, not Wale, not Jay-Z, not Em, not Big Sean, not Wiz, not Nicki.. None of these dudes would be able to put up these type of numbers without their little crossover singles or being seen as safe to the majority. Who else could come out with singles true to himself and his core fanbase and still do this well? White hip hop heads aren't banging no damn Rick Ross. He's not seen as an icon by the majority so he sure as hell isn't selling off of that and damn sure isn't seen as a safe rapper.

Pay homage. We might never see an album like this again that can do well off of the strenght of the black community's dollar.:myman:

Jeezy sold more with a majority black audience

/thread
First off all, white dudes bump Jeezy all the time because for some reason, people started to think listening to him means that you are 'real' or something. Second, his album came out in December. Third, eat a dikk

Yeah this is a fact, SoundScan started counting melanins in all album buyers.

Either you are new to hip hop or you are a straight up dikk head.:snoop: Everyone knows that rappers have been putting out pop/crossover singles to appeal to the white audiences then putting out singles for their core audience. This has been common practice forever. Lotus Flower bomb is one of the most obvious examples. Starships etc etc. Where is Ross crossover single to appeal to a different audience?

You maybe right or you maybe wrong, but you say it like it's a fact.
It's not a fact, it's you guessing.

I'm not sayin you may be right, but you say it like it's a fact.

All I'm saying is that damn near every artist that moves units these days are doing it because of cross over singles or because they are seen as safe. They all have something about them that makes them gimmicky or something. Ross doesn't fall in either category and he is still moving units. This isn't even meant to hate on Jeezy either, but how are you going to bring up an album sold during the holiday season:why:
