Y'all ever wonder how these console graphics work?

I mean the technology behind it? Like why don't we have life like graphics today? Is NBA 2K17, gta v and uncharted the closest we can get?

So are we just waiting for the Asians to find or create a new way to enhance graphics to the next level? So that technology doesn't exist yet? Who creates the new power behind graphics? Is it Microsoft/Sony?

So right now are they in the labs tryna engineer this next piece of technology? Does this process really take 7-10 years which is the average life span of a console?

Like when the xbox 360 and ps4 dropped, that was the best they could do graphics wise? I'm just wondering how it works. You would think we'd have life like graphics by now but we don't. So we have to wait till the technology is invented or is it just not capable on home consoles?

it's because the game developers make the games for consoles and their limited hardware.
if games were made for beast pc's in mind then us pc gamers would have the graphics you want.
instead pc gamers get shyt ported from consoles and we are stuck with something that is just a bit better than the consoles.
