Like in the NBA the Eastern Conf for years has been known as the tough gritty conference where they play d night in and night out. While the West is known as run and gun. And like baseall where the Al is known for high scoring games while the NL is known more for tight low scoring games.
Y does every league have a diff style.

don't know about the other leagues but the answer in the MLB is simple. The AL has a DH in the lineup while in the NL the pitcher has to hit.

I always thought in the NBA the Western conference emphasized on dominant front courts more than anything else which to me is what Basketball is all about...
