Is Krondon still writing for him?

I just looked this up cuz its the first I ever heard about it.

What in the entire fukk??! :wtf:

How the fukk you go from "It's a shame, n*ggas in the rap game, only for the money and the fame" to having somebody who you smoked on the mic in freestyles penning your damn lyrics??

I know I'm dumb late on this, but goddamn X just took a serious hit in my eyes on his artistry. :snoop:

Yo I never heard that rumor before either. Especially given X was always dope with the pen.

I can’t remember where I heard about all this, some Krondon interview. I think the timeline. Of when he was writing for X is around the times when X was having some big life problems, his kid dying and stuff like that, working a lot in Hollywood. It seemed like X was too busy or had some bad shyt going on where he wasn’t really in the state of minds to write rhymes. I don’t think Kron wrote everything but maybe a lot of it.

When I looked it up, it was from some interview in 2012 where Krondon was asked about ghostwriting and he said he was writing for Xzibit, but quickly followed with "not anymore". Like it was only a brief period like you said. I didn't even know about his child dying. I can understand him not being in the frame of mind to write, and maybe he needed the bread from dropping an album. But damn.

Like I said, artistically not a good look. Especially since X was always doper than Krondon (whom I like, but he ain't no master wordsmith or anything like that).

I think he probably had contractual obligation to droop an album and wasn’t in the frame of mind. And it’s not like anything he dropped in that time frame are regarded as his classics or anything.
