XBMC Question

How can I stream videos in XBMC on my laptop to my TV without connecting my laptop to my TV? The TV shows the XBMC server, but I can only stream what I have stored locally on my laptop, not what I have playing via XBMC on the laptop actively

Well, without connecting your laptop to the TV, you can/you're going have to use Chromecast. Chromecast isn't cheap ($35), and all you're doing is streaming it via Wi-Fi from the Internet or a local network from your local device.
