THE MOVIE: Directed by Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2), Skiptrace is about a detective from Hong Kong (Jackie Chan) who teams up with an American gambler (Knoxville) to battle against a notorious Chinese criminal. The film also stars Fan Bingbing (Iron Man 3).
Jackie will star, co-write and produce. Sam Fell (ParaNorman) is directing, and additional screenwriters are Jay Longino (Bachelor Party 2: The Last Temptation), Brian Gatewood (Animal Practice) and Alessandro Tanaka (The Sitter).
Update: Asian Movie Pulse features some recent quotes from Jackie Chan. He says that Skiptrace will be very location-driven and he hopes to set the sequences of action/comedy in settings that his fans haven’t seen him to do yet.
According to Film Combat Syndicate (via Deadline), Johnny Knoxville has replaced Sean William Scott. It’s also said that Skiptrace will have a tone similar Martin Brest’s Midnight Run.
BREAKING NEWS: According to EveTorres.com (via Martial Arts Film Junkie), WWE’s Eve Torres is joining Jackie Chan and Johnny Knoxville in Renny Harlin’s Skiptrace.
