mania is approaching and there is no one match that the entire show is being built around.

no one is really even sure what match is going on last.

essentially by hyping up "multiple main events"... it destroys any concept OF a main event.

the go-to answer seems to be roman/brock but that's only because there's an imaginary championship on the line. in reality it's not being driven by pure star power or two guys the people really want to see.

WWE has succeeded because it truly has become all about the brand. like if someone says wm3 you automatically think hogan/andre... when someone says wm17 you automatically think austin rock...

but this year when someone says wrestlemania what do you think of? i really don't even know. it's really become a celebration of the entire company... with no real standout.

TBH the concept of "main event" at WM has pretty much been dead in the water since 18 when Hogan/Rock was the real main event. Almost every year since then has had at least one match that was a bigger main event than the actual last match on the show.

Of course, that happened at at WM 7 and 8 as well, with Macho/Warrior and Macho/Flair being much bigger and far more memorable than Hogan/Sarge and Hogan/Sid.

yea i would agree... every wm after 18 is a huge blur to me, granted i stopped watching for a few years.

i swear off the top of my head i don't even remember anything about last year's mania other than roman and taker. i don't remember who cena fought, none of that.

ok and as i'm typing this i remember brock/goldberg. i REALLY don't remember anything else! that's insane!

I think the fact that they don't create feuds that feel big enough to be the "real main event" has hurt the notion of it. Like, whether you liked or not, Rock coming back and facing Cena was always the biggest match and you knew that was the main event because they were the biggest stars the company could book in a match against each other. They panic too soon and book WM worthy matches and feuds too early, to the point they either don't mean as much when it's Mania season, or it has been done too much so they can't book it again in the biggest show of the year.

And when they do try to create an "epic rivalry", they completely fukk it up with their retarded booking :francis:

All I know after watching all of Ronda Rousey's segments today her career is gonna be wrapped up before the year is over after she wrestle at WM. I haven't seen anything so fukking awkward and mic work so bad in forever. Whomever thought she should have came right up to the main card is smoking dust if they think she won't get booed like crazy after WM.. I agree with everything else you said tho.

It's basically what CM Punk talked about

Match wise all belts including NXT and the UK titles should be on the card, two blood fueds, and one cross brand match, again maybe even a number one contender match

I also believe that Smackdown and Raw should alternate the main event or the show that wins the most matches at SS gets the main event at Mania

But in my opinion I have a list of problems that contribute to it for the big four PPVs : Trying to fit everybody on even in multi matches, having matches too long for no reason, long ass video packages, a pre show that is too long, matches on the preshow with people who should be on the mainshow, and the forcing of the women in certain parts of the night that drag things down.

This company tries to make every PPV similar to the Super Bowl build, but these idiots forget that the Super Bowl is only ONCE a year, not 12 times a year:mjlol::mjlol:
