WWE Considering Face Turn For Dolph Ziggler

I swear, when I saw that promo before the cage match, the very FIRST thing that I thought was , "Wow, this is scarily Billy Gunn-esque." It might be because he's working with John "fukk Your Finisher" Cena right now, but the guy just looks off and inferior right now. Like he's a guy who's never actually going to break through.

You guys do realize, by the way, that we've been talking about Ziggler "breaking through" on some level for about two years solid at this point, with next to no actual progress on that breakthrough in that time period. A face turn isn't exactly the answer at this point (believe it or not, there's still quite a bit of life left in variations of a Ziggler heel character), but he's looking less like a sure-fire main eventer and more like an upper-mid for life guy with each passing day. Something needs to be done with him post-haste.

I want Zigs to win and be a star but honestly I think dude will end up mid to upper mid card forever.

Just when you think he has a chance to shine solo, he gets paired with someone else that steals his shine or he gets his momentum killed.

Honestly, he doesn't help himself much by not adding more to his in-ring repertoire and at this point, it doesn't look like it's going to get noticeably better. Don't know if it's just booking or if he's afraid to succeed.

I actually thought he has added a little bit more to his repertoire, in the limited time he has. Those elbow drops for one. I know it isn't much, but it is something new and starting to get some reaction from the crowd (them counting along ). I mean dude is in 10-12 minute matches and has to sell for 10 minutes of it to make the other guy look good. Gets kinda tough to showcase any sort of offensive arsenal. Yeah, I'm tired of seeing him hit 2 neckbreakers in a row, drop 10 elbows, strut, and slap on a resthold with a headstand, only to jump on his opponents back & apply a sleeper later in the match.

He only hits a huge spot once every 5 matches...like that top-rope X-Factor and he doesn't really have any consistent sequences. Just gets his ass kicked and hits something out of desperation that gets no-sold in big matches.

I feel your pain bro. I've been a Cody fan since his legacy days. The only difference between Cody and Kofi, is Cody gimmick changes over the years. But essentially he gets saddled with the same results.

How many more finishers must he have to get a win? The developers for the next WWE game are like " Dolph, we can only add so much to that special move button."

And yeah, that sleeper has got to die though.. or atleast let him win a few squash matches with it (Hey Ryder!) so we can think it's somewhat dangerous again.
