how was infinity gauntlet gift wrapped.

With numerous reading based adventures..to one of the most epic stories as well. Where you could have easily rebooted the franchise.
plus made a family film that featured, leia, han and cheewie.

No it's definitely out of context.
They made the decision to ignore existing material, which means moving forward on 7, 8 and 9 they are working without source material. She doesn't mean that there literally isn't any source material. She's taking specifically about the box they put themselves in creatively.

One way this makes sense is if you believe they are purposely shooting themselves in the foot, for some insane ploy to make billions by halfassing it.
The other is to believe Star Wars storytelling is really hard. Except the Thrawn trilogy, Fate of the Jedi, the Jedi Knight series, Kotor, and the Clone Wars tv series.
