I get away from it, and do something else, in the case I really need to get something done, I have a bunch of unfinished yet finished if I just add 1 element etc, so something can always stay in motion. Listen to other music that inspires you, until you get the feel back, or just stay away from it until you get the feel back.

Start with actually researching brainstorming techniques, everything ain't just gonna come to you because you want

takes practice and there are a million and one ways to trick your brain into cooking ideas up, research how people who work in design generate concepts.

It's all googleable :manny: I got a huge backlog of techniques I haven't needed to use yet.

I'll toss you an alley-oop. Google "Thinker Toys" and download the book however you go about downloading things :hubie: scroll through some of those techniques, you'll get something

edit: I'm mad no one else suggested this :dead: y'all can't be serious with the vague advice of walk away. You can walk away after you got a mood board or some pages of random ideas tossed down on paper, there's a lot you can do before you just walk off brehs

Imagine feeling a way about a complete stranger's creative process :mjlol:

Disappointed in the close mindedness in the advice given :manny: didn't ruin my day at all tho, I just wanna see nikkas trying their hardest

Close-mindedness?:why: Dudes were literally just stating what works for them.

If I walk away from something I'm going to lose all interest by the time I get back. I'll go months without making a beat if I don't force myself to find some inspiration.

The things that get me hype to make beats are finding a new source for samples, hearing some crazy sample flips and just dope new music in general, or learning a new technique to try out. I usually try to force myself into the beat making mood by playing some shyt from my favorite producers, digging for new artists/genres, and checking youtube for different tutorials. Sometimes none of that works, but if I have a little bit of a spark going I can usually keep extending the motivation by forcing myself to do the above.

ADHD is a bytch.
