Terrible idea. These kind of handicap matches don't turn out well for the youngsters. The two that come to mind immediately is DX vs. Spirit Squad (where they stuffed them into a crate and sent to OVW) and HHH/Cena vs. 9-10 members of Raw roster when HHH/Cena won handily.

spirit squad was a pisspoor idea in execution and for you to mention.
As it was welled in skip and sunny and Simon dean's soon and doomed to fail foundation.
Plus the group was built off of emasculated group of male cheerleaders.
Who was at best on a lower rung as an emasculated group as the mean street posse.
Not to mention, the mean street posse as a group had comic relief on their side.
Something the spirit squad was never going to have.
Plus, convicability wise...they were not even as formidable in gimmick or execution inring as the west Hollywood blondes.
Did I mention the west Hollywood blondes were gay.
The shield is built off of Making good.
On the mistakes of one man gang turns to the bossman and fails, ideals of resurveying.
Of which I am not sure if wwe continuity even is aware how they struck gold with the idea.
When previously, they failed with groups like these from right to censor to the bossman's stable featuring bull Buchanan.

Personally the group works because of the high quality parts.
Plus being allowed to work, uninhibited promo and moveset wise.
Whereas bossman's group at best was bald headed sheamus's workrate at best.
Plus, rtc was never going to be allowed to work freely.
All because Stevie was going to be held back because of his past emulating hbk.
When Stevie should have been allowed to work, freely inring workrate wise as well.

So, the shield is wwe finally making perfectly good on a stable for the first time, ever.
Which includes dx, too.
Right now, the shield is the best stable in wwf history off of one match.

[also,..tyler black or Rollins is further along than even taker was debuting, workrate and promowise. Plus is a better all around babyface than taker, being forced to be one character wise in the www, as well]

That would never work.
As wwe has done a good job of limiting db's convincability.
To the point to the casual fan, at home would never buy db winning at mania over taker.
Plus taker is hogun in dark tights and mascara.
Of which, even back in the day the convincability of Bret hart being neutered and booked as the small swarmy tag guy.
Never lent itself to making hart have convincability inring versus taker.
Only one performer in wwe history has overcome this perception character wise and that is the rock.
Although the wwe did try to book taker as too formidable for the rock.
Somehow, the rock actually overcame this tier system booking and convincability.
Real talk, only a few wrasslers in wwe history have been booked to be able to look or have the perception to kick taker's ass.
taker is the historical lenchpin and judge of who is badass in the wwe universe.
Usually most characters in the wwe universe are never portrayed as this.
Which is why the shield's debut and handling is so promising.
As they were given this perception.
Which usually, is never the case for any new wwe superstar.
Which is why the typical wwe booking is bukkake cuckolding failure based and assume fukkery.
Doomed to fail and never draw from the beginning.

I actually like this idea alot especially if Taker is not going to face either Cena, Punk, or Brock. I dont think it can work has a 3 on 1 handicap match though so why not have Taker team with Team Hell No vs The Shield in a TLC match. If they continue to book the shield very strong (No loss taking, giving beatdowns to the roster) then I think the atmosphere for the match would be great. There could be the fear that Taker would lose the streak if DB got pinned etc.

I def. cant see taker facing anyone else. I dont get the whole, "Well, let an up and coming beat him." There is no up and comer on the roster that is nowhere near believable or could draw in a match with Taker now. No Barrett, kingston, sandow, etc. None of them nikkaz makes sense and I dont want to see em face off with taker at WM.

Now the shield....yeah I can fukks with that match

I think it would be a dope idea if they do it, have the Shield destroy him for 10 minutes, bad beating nwo style.

Then you have HBK and HHH come out to save him and they take out two of the dudes and then Taker hits the tombstone on the third.

I read on torch the idea of taker and Ryback going against the shield at Wrestlemania

I like that idea better but still think a 3 on 3 match would work better so shield doesn't come out losing momentum

Maybe Orton comes back for revenge?
