Three Premier League footballers apologised tonight after filming themselves taking part in a sickening orgy in which a Thai woman was racially abused.

Leicester City players James Pearson, 21 - the son of club manager Nigel Pearson - Adam Smith, 22, and Tom Hopper, 21, took part in a depraved sex session in Thailand on an end-of-season tour.

Amid vile scenes which show the naked footballers dishing out a tirade of abuse to the women, one of the players can be heard shouting 'slit eye' while his friends laugh at the racist jibe.

One of the young players also taunts one of the women for being f***** minging' before saying: 'She's an absolute one out of ten.'

The footage, obtained by the Sunday Mirror, will be a huge embarrassment for the manager, who is an outspoken ambassador for the Kick It Out scheme, the campaign to end racism in football.

It will also be a huge blow to the club's Thai owners Vichai and Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha who have worked hard to form a partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, a club sponsor.

The club said the players ‘would like to convey their sincere apologies for their behaviour - to the women involved in the incident, to the club and its owners, to the club's fans and to their families’.

A spokesman added: ‘A formal process of investigation will be undertaken with the players in conjunction with their representatives and, as such, no further comment can be made at this stage.’

She's an absolute one out of ten

Leicester fans and members of the Thai community have called for the trio to be sacked, and the players are flying back to Britain where they will be investigated by the Midlands club.

The video - who includes a running commentary of the lewd sex acts - begins with the three players stripped naked and joking around as they engage in sex acts with the women.

Amid a tirade of abuse, the stars make a series of degrading comments about the two women. After calling her 'minging', one of the players is heard shouting: 'Oi Hops, I'll swap you.'

It will also be a huge blow to the club's Thai owners Vichai and Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha (pictured with the Championship League trophy and Nigel Pearson in 2014) who have worked hard to form a partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, one of the club's sponsors
They also egg each other on as they shout encouraging comments to the women such as 'Go on, love'. The players make several other vile comments which are too graphic to print.

WHO ARE THE LEICESTER THREE?
ADAM SMITH (Leicester appearances, 0)

The goalkeeper joined Leicester in 2011, and has played for Mansfield Town, Cambridge United and Nuneaton Town on loan.

He made his senior debut with Nuneaton in 2012, and helped Cambridge win promotion to the Football League last year. Smith is yet to appear for Leicester's first team.

JAMES PEARSON (Leicester apps, 1)

Pearson, who studied at Hartpury College in Gloucestershire, began his youth career at Rotherham United but was released aged 16.

He then joined Leicester in July 2013, before heading out to Carlisle United on loan to play three games in League One in March 2014.

Pearson made his Leicester debut in a 1-0 defeat at home to Shrewsbury in August 2014, which is still his only outing for the Foxes. This season he was loaned to Wrexham in the Conference, where he played eight matches.

TOM HOPPER (Leicester apps, 3)

The forward started his career with non-league Boston United, but signed for Leicester in 2011 and has played in three cup matches for the club - one in 2012 and two in 2013.

He also went on loan to Bury - scoring three goals in 24 matches - and Sc*nthorpe United, where he netted four times in 12 games.

According to the newspaper, the men then watch as the woman engage in sexual acts together before Hopper and Pearson give one another a celebratory high-five.

The events unfolded while the players were touring Thailand after their sensational season climax. The paper reports that the clip was shared by one of the players among friends.

This morning, as news of the scandal emerged, all three players deleted their Twitter accounts. The club previously said that the support of the Tourism Authority of Thailand had been 'vital' in helping promote the club to a Thai audience.

The authority's 'Amazing Thailand' branding has appeared on the back of team shirts for the last two years.

The Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Thawatchai Arunyik, previously said: 'We are very proud to be working with Leicester City and its supports who have embraced the Club's increasingly strong association with Thailand.'

The Tourism Authority of Thailand began its partnership with Leicester City at the start of the 2012/13 season, two years after the Club was taken over by the current owners.

Today, fans told of their disgust on the fans forum FoxesTalk, where one posted: ‘Get rid of them, never getting near our squad anyway.’

Another wrote: ‘Disgusting and inexcusable behaviour, exactly the sort of stuff that gives British tourists a bad name when we go abroad.

‘It's especially disappointing given the efforts the owners are going to to ensure we're a popular club in Thailand.’

Leicester City Football Club has issued an updated statement regarding three of its young professionals...

A Leicester City spokesman said:"The Board of Leicester City Football Club is deeply concerned about an incident involving three of our young professionals during a recent trip to Thailand. Our players at every level are expected to behave as representatives and ambassadors for our Football Club, both on official Club duty and in their personal lives, so we treat their conduct extremely seriously.

“Following a preliminary meeting in consultation with the three players earlier today, the players involved in the incident are now returning to the UK, in advance of the rest of the squad.

"Tom Hopper, James Pearson and Adam Smith would like to convey their sincere apologies for their behaviour – to the women involved in the incident, to the Club and its owners, to the Club’s fans and to their families.

“A formal process of investigation will be undertaken with the players in conjunction with their representatives and, as such, no further comment can be made at this stage.

“Leicester City remains wholly committed to promoting equality in football and in wider society and to our players recognising their responsibilities as role models to young people.”
