.....Theme Songs.

I think without themes, the large majority of us don't watch.

It's the single most important part of the show that separates Wrestling from every other sport.

At Bat Songs are just regular songs the players pick

Boxing/UFC isn't on enough to attach a fighter with a theme and rarely do they keep the same theme from fight to fight.

And the rare times sports stars do use themes, it makes their legacy that much greater too. That really shows their impact.

- Mariano's Enter Sandman entrance
- The Chicago Bulls Theme in the 90s
- The Super Bowl Shuffle
- Even the Niners Kickoff Tony Montana shyt was likable and made them more known

Themes are just as important to wrestling as the storylines, matches, and whatever else. Themes give every wrestling show that 'spectacle' atmosphere.

Imagine RAW without entrance music...its unwatchable.

Would you watch without entrance music?

Think about it though...

Imagine Undertaker's entrance without music...

All those classic Stone Cold run ins, especially when Mankind won the title for the first time, with no glass shatter.

It loses a lot of the entertainment value, we take it for granted.

I still would watch. Theme music is what 5-10% of a show. Could Care Less, No Other Sports Have Theme Music

It's all about presentation and that's the most important part. Nobody really cares about "great technical wrestling". It's entertainment and people want to see characters - themes are a HUGE part of that. :manny: If it was all about matches backyard wrestling would be outselling WWE.

Exactly.

It's hard to imagine no one having an entrance song, but think of any wrestler, and mute the theme in your head. Its a whole different feel, whole different crowd reaction. Hundreds of wrestling moments would be severely downgraded without themes.

It's a package. It's like a movie.

Some movies you remember the best part when a certain song hits when the main action happens.

Anticipating a big title match then hearing the glass shatter.... :wow:

Waiting for Hogan/Warrior to come out at WM 6 :wow:

Lol it would absolutely KILL wrestling if there wasn't theme songs. Well I say that because we've all grown up with hearing them so it's hard to imagine wrestling w/o them :manny:

Yes, but the music does help build the wrestler. And it's that way on every level. A few examples.

- New Jack in ECW and how "Natural Born Killaz" played throughout his entire match, it made him a hardcore legend.

- Bryan Danielson in ROH with "Final Countdown". His entrance to that music was so epic, it really made put him over the top. His in-ring ability was by far the best in the world, but that entrance was the best i`ve ever seen in Indy wrestling.

- The WWF utilizing Jim Johnston to create specific songs for wrestlers, probably Vince's best idea ever. It really turned pro wrestlers into superheroes

No it wouldn't because backyard wrestling is full of terrible children pretending to be pro-wrestlers.

Dumb fukking statement.

More like, if it was all about matches ROH/Chikara/PWG would be outselling WWE
