Would Meek Mill be this hot if 50 CENT signed him?

Would Meek Mill be as successful on another label?

50 Cent, Akon, T.I. and Rick Ross were tryna sign Meek Mill when he was doing his thing underground.

When Ross was building MMG he was hot but he wasn't as hot as he was now...so MMG helped Ross become as major as he is. On the other hand 50 Cent was loosing steam but his name still held weight.

Do yall think Meek would have done his thing regardless?

G-Unit the record label doesn't exist anymore. It's just 50. And he can't get a release date despite having Alicia Keys & Dr. Dre on a single. It's over.

T.I. messed up by going to prison all those times. I believe Meek was heading there before all the trouble started up again. Now TI's looking kinda cold himself so that wouldn't have worked.

Opportunity is all about timing. MMG was perfect for Wale & Meek.

If he dropped on 04 G Unit, he would've been a big star.

If he dropped on 2012 G Unit, he would've faded away quick.

2012 MMG is somewhere between the two. I fukks with Meek but can't help feeling he's 8 or 9 years too late... rappers like him were bigger a decade ago. But still, there is a line for him.

Being from Philly, I always thought Meek was a decent rapper, but nothing special. I thought he was destined to just be another local rapper. He wasn't deep yet still gutta like Beans, he wasn't conscious like Thought, he wasn't nice like Cassidy, so when I heard TI on the Rose Red Rmx i was like :wtf: How did he get that nukka on a song with him??

Rozay obviously saw something in him, and I think being affliated with him has helped him greatly. Otherwise, I think he'd still just be another local Philly cat, still with braids and shyt.

Signing to 50 would've pretty much doomed him...say he signs around the time he ended up signing with MMG...instead of Ross hopping on I'm A Boss and helping it become a national summer anthem...it ends up being a regional record...Tupac Back doesn't exist...neither does Meek's placements on Self Made Vol. 1...he wouldn't have gained admission into that that whole MMG/YMCMB/DJ Khaled/Bad Boy/etc. mutual appreciation society...which means no Club Paradise Tour...No Amen...No Ross or Wale features...instead all of that is replaced with a bunch of features on the half a dozen mixtapes 50's put ou the last couple of years that nobody gave a sh!t about...which also, no release date...considering G-Unit doesn't even have distrubiton through a major right now... realistically, had he signed to 50 Meek is prolly Kidd Kidd status but with a local Philly buzz
