would it be accurate to say LeBron is on the decline, and Father time is knocking?

not a troll post, but after watching the first 2 games of the Finals it's pretty obvious (to me) that LBJ's athleticism is starting to leave him. I'm watching him try to overpower defenders and get to the rack, but his body isn't responding like it did years ago. He is struggling with his jumper b/c his legs aren't what they use to be...he can't get the same lift, he def can't finish like he once could....it's sad seeing 1 of my fave players of all time start to decline :wow:

It happens to all the greats. The point is how much you are able to evolve your game, so that it comes later ratherthen sooner. Bulldozing your self to the rim and relying on your athleticism can only last so long to where you have to change things up. Be consistent improving your jumper, tighten up your footwork, developing more moves in the post. He should have been focusing on these three areas five years ago.

I don't think father time has a finger on Lebron, still by far the most physically beastly dude in the league. He just ran into a greater team, point blank. Great teams can make the greatest players seem bad. He's still IMO the best player in the game.:manny:

He just needs to adopt the same fukk it mindset from last year's finals, where he gave no fukks and put up monster numbers in close games.

Lebron's decline is puzzling because it's not really physical. Obviously he's not as athletic as he once was but he's still super athletic and often times the most explosively athletic guy on the court. His decline has been skill wise, his jump shot particularly. When he was with the Heat he had turned himself into a good midrange shooter and a decent 3 point shooter. Now he's regressed all the way back to being a sub par midrange shooter and unreliable 3 point shooter. He also doesn't finish around the rim as well which seems to be more mental than physical as well. It's strange.

Lebron looked fine against Detroit,a Atlanta and Toronto

Gs is just his Achilles heel

Doesnt help when kyrie n jr Smith can't even catch a pass

LeBrons not playing any different:francis:
Just playing a great team. Dudes jumper as been broke.

Dude is still overpowering nikkas to get to the rim:francis:

Dude is still athletic as eff.

It was just a week ago where there was a thread lauding LeBrons insane athleticism :mjlol:

They facing a real team now :francis:

The Cavs losing to a better team has nothing to do with How Lebron looks as an individual player. His jumper has been broken and inconsistent all year, the Warriors have just been the only team able to expose it consistently. The Warriors play good defense but there's no reason that he shouldn't be able to hit midrange shots or finish in the paint. That's all on Lebron.

He was shooting nearly 70% in the paint the first three rounds I think. Golden state is simply a team for the ages. With nobody moving well or scoring well, the Warriors can send everyone at him. They finished 16 games ahead of Cleveland for a reason. There's really only one guy who is a great two way player for Cleveland, while most of the Warriors players are reliable on both ends. You're not beating these Warriors if the second best player for your team this series is 35 year old Richard Jefferson. That was barely cutting it in the early 2000's eastern conference. It sure as shyt isn't gonna work here. They need to play him as a small ball power forward, but they don't have a center who can both space the floor and defend, so their spacing and defense are being totally compromised.

So which is it, are GS this all time great team or are the Cavs just not that good?
