Would Balor be just another wrestler if it wasn't for Bullet Club?

I've watched about a dozen of his NJPW matches, and adding his E matches, dude is a decent wrestler. Aside from the paint job, dude doesn't stand out. His basic Jr. run pre-BC wasn't anything worthwhile. The RNR gimmick was a step up, but nothing to brag about. I can't recall ANY memorable matches he's had either.

I can't be the only one thinking this. :ld:

Finn Balor is the definition of a wrestler who is propped up by smarks because he 'paid his dues'. He's a so-so wrestler and does nothing in the ring to stand out.

Also, Bullet Club arguably didn't become mainstream relevant in wrestling until he left for NXT and AJ Styles took over his spot dropping 5*classics, so his legacy of being the BC OG is overrated too.

I don't see what makes him any more interesting than the cruiserweights beyond that they can both wrestle. :rvdshrug:

If he left tomorrow, nothing of serious value would be lost. If you don't stand out character-wise, at least wrestle your ass off, but these days a lot of cats can wrestle their ass off to the point that it all blends together sometimes. So, what else you got? :manny:

Come back for your throne, King Neville. :mjcry:
