The original idea they were selling to investors "Genius lets you annotate the entire internet" but it never really made sense to me...

that and some artists block their lyrics from being put up on the site for free. they are generating money without kicking shyt back. was also started by smug trust fund babies who cashed out early..

sad to see worldstar retaining it's hold on people despite it being one of the biggest sources of propaganda on the internet. a website that thrives of stereotyping content and negative depictions of Black people. it's no coincidence their comment sections were ripe with cism. that website is just race porn. and the damage it has done to brehs will reverberate in the world for many decades. just modern day minstrel shows

If this is correct (which there is no proof of) it was not a full acquisition because Q still owned the trademarks etc. In this acquisition MediaLab owns everything.
