It came and went quietly. United 93 was the more talked about of the two 9/11 movies that were released in 2006. If I remember correctly, the producers and stars of WTC met with all of the 9/11 groups before they shot the movie to inform them of their intent and they got the okay from all of them.

movies for things we have HD footage of don't sit well with me..
Movie was disappointing. I was expecting it play out like my favorite historical disaster film "Titanic". But the towers collapsed within the 1st 30 minutes or so.
I'm a check out "United 93" tonight than.
No media outlet or film/TV studio was shooting in HD video back in 2001.
