For basketball, raquetball and tennis, get low-top basketball shoes, indoor soccer or tennis shoes.
For running, I recommend a running shoes because the mid-sole has the appropriate amount cushion that basketball and tennis shoes don't have.
For long walks??? Create some homemade, flip-flops with old phone books and duct tape.

Altra zero drops work great for me but I've never tried them for basketball. I use hyperfuse for outdoor basketball and super.fly 2 for indoor basketball.

For light running and casual wear, nothing beats the Nike Lunar line imo.

Lunarglide and Lunar Flyknit are both absurdly comfortable.

Lunar cushioning > air
