I refuse to believe I've hit my plateau.

Something a lot of people realize is tht they aren't training optimally. Workout might be good, but diet is shyt. Maybe youre not pushing hard enough. Maybe youre not sleeping enough. Maybe your workout isnt a good fit. People who get it right right away are very lucky.

Most people have not hit plateaus. They just underestimated how far they had to go/push

i've had the same workout routine for 8 years.(diet has changed a lot over that time) but i've def. plateau'd or maybe i should say i've been "maintaining". thing is i want lose a few more pounds before getting knocked up so i've gotta kick start the process again.

Have you been moving up in weight/speed/time? I.e. if you run, have you got any faster or added any miles? You won't change if you don't progress (no swipes)

well yeah of course over the span of 8 years i've upped miles/weight and speed many times. (i'm a swimmer) i just think my body needs a jolt that can only come from introducing a new activity to the routine.... no biggie. :yeshrug:

i always felt like, when you stopped feeling that burn in your muscles or if you're not really winded after you 2 mile run. then maybe its time for you to either change the workout or put on more weights nd maybe thinking about going an extra mile or picking up your pace a little.

I've hit a plateau before. When it happened to me I started tracking everything I ate (obsessively) and began pushing even harder in the gym.
