Working a night job unappreciation

I've worked the night shift. and yes it is hell. it was somewhat manageable when i had coworkers that were cool. all we talked about were girls. but there were many nights u had to work alone and that was vicious. working 10 hours straight with no break.

I've worked nights. I've had to drive an hour to work and an hour back, to work the night shift. I've had cars break down on me from during this hellish commute.

this is why i get enraged when people, especially the idiots on this forum, have the nerve to say money doesn't do this or that.

i know if i had the money i sure as sh1t woulda quit that night job after the first day. hell, i wouldn't have even been on that shift.

only good thing abouy 3rd is traffic. i hated that crap. when u get off everybody is going to work. plus my body couldnt adjust to it. i was always tired.

I've been working night shifts 8pm to 6am for 6 months now, I hate it but the pay is good and I do it to get out of school debt. No social life, bad sleeping and eating habit. Not to mention I became slower in my responses (driving, thinking etc) lol no one was meant to work at night.

I've worked in private security for 10 years and for the first 5 years I was working nothing but graveyard shifts (10-6, 11-7, 12-8). It had its pros and cons but its not for everyone. The pros were I had the day to myself cuz most people were either at work or school. I could go anywhere and not have to stand in lines. The cons were no social life whatsoever especially since I worked weekends too. Also, after a while your body is like fuk this, I need a regular shift! Since I became an account manager I now work M-F 7-4. I'd rather die than have to work the graveyard shift again.
