Woodward's Price of Politics sheds light on Obama's negotiation process

I actually have new found sympathy for the guy.

This book covers the negotiations around the debt ceiling in 2011. He really was dealing with intransigent morons in the House who did not understand the potential effects of defaulting on the US loans.

I've been trying to get a feel for this book based off of several reviews and to say they're all over the map is and understatement.

The only consistent ideas are Boehner being incredibly unwilling to negotiate and Obama being unable to really impose his will and influence as a president when it was really needed.
