Very interesting premise, OP. At first thought, I agree with you, but as this breh put it:
Random as thread... but nah i say he's even more relevant. He fits right in with anonymous, lizard squad, hackers and trolls perfectly.

This would work if they somehow modernized him in this way. He'd become more of a threat.

I disagree in the world DC is painting in the universe now, riddler would be almost too perfect

I feel like DC is trying to be cerebral in their movies judging by alot of the quotes of the actors and the trailers. There is a heavy dramatic, epic sense they could be painting. The opportunity for the riddler in this world to be done right is for the taking. Plus in the first BVS teaser trailer their is a riddler easter egg so.......:yeshrug:
