Obama team =/= The DCCC


The DCCC contains some real liberal progressives, and is acutally largely the good guys in politics if you look closely. The DCCC chair Wasserman-Schultz is a strong progressive and the rest of the progressive caucus is prominent in the DCCC brass.


The Obama team doesn't care if a lot of Democrats get elected, because that will push them to the left, and that is not the arrangement they have with donors. Obama loves this 50/50 Republican Democrat split because it's what the donors want. They want the Republican policies implemented, but they also want people to accept them so they support Obama as well. So when Obama does get re-elected, if he does rather, when you see a grand bargain where they cut social security and medicare, and lower taxes on the rich and raise them on YOU, don't say you didn't hear it from me first ;)

I know people with degrees in computer science from wisconsin and another engineer from missouri who believe that stuff - smart people. They're not getting their talking points from fox, Fox news is getting their talking points from them. Fox news exist because sly-stallion exist, sly-stallion doesn't exist because of fox news. You have to understand the non east/west coast mentality - they're middle america frontiersman "culture" is more important to them than their economic self-interest, even when they ignorantly contradict("get your hands off my medi-care!!!"). The pulling yourself up from your bootstrap reptilian brain takes precedent over their frontal cortex economic self-interest. I see what you are saying but i don't agree completely. When Obama did have a democratic majority in congress, he would blame the Blue Dog/conservative democrats for blocking progressives policies. I do agree with you that Obama don't care if republicans are in power.
It is not a big difference between democrats and republicans on the national level. Dems and the GOP agree on most of the major issue.

Thats true as well but ask yourself this question, why dont new yorkers care about tenured school teachers making 100k+ to sit in an empty classroom, where is the uproar? Would californians take walkers side? I was completely generalizing a group of people, some are just idiots like Robbie said. But east/west coasters should take note if they want to make some headway that many of these people dont live in a rupublican elite created matrix(brain washed). That it has deep roots - some provincial and parochial others truly philosophical and intellectual - beyond the fox news on the surface talking-points and shouldn't be outright dismissed.
