Anybody else install this?

I'm using it right now on my laptop and it seems alright. My laptop boots up a little bit faster. It seems like Windows 7 with a metro facelift. The only thing that pisses me off is that there is no more start button but a start screen. My IE seems to crash a little often but I guess its because this is just a build. I also tried to install it on a pentium 2.6GHZ ht computer and it wouldn't install because it doesn't support enabling execute bit or some shyt like that.....

anyways anybody else have any thoughts on it? If it was gonna cost over $100 I probably wouldn't cop but for $40 I might just get it.

I'm using it. Not bad.

They can fix all the hate if they only allowed a classic option to use the old start menu and desktop, but they are forcing people to use the new start menu and app store. It's fast as Hell though.

Wait, wait. There's an actual Windows 7 Mode? That's the first I'm hearing of this.

In any case, what's the point? As far as the desktop in Windows 8 is concerned, the transition is similar to the transition from Vista to Windows 7. Almost any program that worked with Vista should work with 7. Likewise, any program that works in 7 should work in the desktop in Windows 8.

:comeon:

You're missing my point. Ignoring the missing Start button/menu and the tweaks they've made, the desktop on Windows 8 is the Windows 7 desktop. Why do you need a "Windows 7 Mode" when the desktop on Windows 8 is basically Windows 7 with improvements?
