Looks like all the rumors are true and that nintendo is gearing up to release a 4k capable switch.

Nintendo Switch 2 with 4K games could be imminent — here's the proof | Tom's Guide

I’m kind of on the fence about it. On one had, i don’t play enough nintendo games to really need 4k switch. The only games I’m really looking forward to that would benefit from 4k are BOTW2, Prime 4, and SMTV. Also I can’t imagine the battery life being very good at 1440p for handheld mode.

I’m sure it will be good for nintendo fans that only own nintendo products so they at least have access to some current gen and cross gen titles. But then again, you could just keep your switch and get a series s also if you want 3rd party games.

I’m not sure how to feel about it

no
there's only like 2 Nintendo games I would want to see in 4k
they'll probably release this in conjunction with breath of the wild 2 and sell really well though

This is a mistake on their end no one cares about 4K display for the switch we want better games but :manny:
Yes just to play BOTW 2 for 200 hours in 4K.
The lite sees 1 hour of game time per month. :mjlol:

Depends. If it’s just an upgrade in resolution and not a bigger screen or any other additions probably not.

No, nintendo exclusives look good enough in 1080p and anything more demanding gets played on a xbox or ps4 anyway

Thing is not many Switch games reach 1080p. So if they could get consist 1080p in docked and 720p in handheld that should make everyone happy.

Anymore then that you are messing with battery life which could ruin the portable aspect of it being a hybrid.

But yea the last reason people play Nintendo games right now is graphics.
