Alright so we all know Windows 8 will be availible for Tablets, Desktops and Mobiles but it's got me wondering if their choice to put all of their eggs in one basket here will work. There is no question they will have one huge task at hand here to make everything work at a consistent level for each and every platform but will their diminishing dominance put people off?

No doubt PCs are still the king but their mobile consumer base is tiny and their tablet consumer base is even smaller. Will people actually buy into making everything they own Windows? Certainly if they cannot get 100% out of each platform without the other that may deter people; then again people might like the convenience of having everything under one umbrella.

Discuss. :whew:

We already have what they are trying to do. The only difference is that its at the OS level. I'm fully vested Google user so my one password will sign me into my gmail, YouTube, Google voice chrome etc.

I dont it will be a big deal to most people.
