I seriously doubt they're ever going to give Bishop his own movie, least of all with Fox holding the rights. If anything, Kitty Pryde and Rachel Summers had it even worse in DoFP. Rachel sent Kitty Pryde back to fix everything in the comics while Storm, Wolverine, Colossus, Magneto, and Franklin Richards fought their hardest and got murked in the end...
Bishop had nothing to do with that storyline outside of the 90's cartoon (Bishop hadn't been created yet when the original story first came out in '81, he debuted in '92).
Wolverine and Deadpool are the only x-characters who can really carry a movie by themselves IMO.
