My Sony mini led picture was great enough for me to return the Samsung OLED I had just bought to replace it. I thought the picture quality would be superior but it wasn’t. Saved my self a couple grand.

Nah.

Unless they can get it to where every pixel generates its own light…OLED>>>>>

:snooze:
Micro LED does this while achieving 10,000 nits :damn: It's only disadvantage is that the screens are assembled using smaller panels, so you can see the seams if you move really close

Its all about manufacturing costs and the ability to make it in high yield. When the industry left Plasma TV tech in the dust, LCD and LED-Backed LCD still looked like ass. Don't be surprised if OLED gets left behind for a tech that isn't as good, but cheaper to manufacture.

Didn’t the Mini LED just come out?
Yeah this is the 2nd year of Sony having mini led. When I said replace, it was more about changing which tv was going to be the main setup tv. Not replace as in it’s outdated. I bought the OLED thinking it would be better as my main, and it wasn’t. So I returned it.
