Whatever drops the OLED prices. I don't need the newest thing.
My Sony mini led picture was great enough for me to return the Samsung OLED I had just bought to replace it. I thought the picture quality would be superior but it wasn’t. Saved my self a couple grand.
I'll have to see.

It's only disadvantage is that the screens are assembled using smaller panels, so you can see the seams if you move really close
I mean this was always the goal. I mentioned it in the OLED thread, but to say it again Micro-LED is the goal - even beyond TVs.

Its all about manufacturing costs and the ability to make it in high yield. When the industry left Plasma TV tech in the dust, LCD and LED-Backed LCD still looked like ass. Don't be surprised if OLED gets left behind for a tech that isn't as good, but cheaper to manufacture.
Yeah this is the 2nd year of Sony having mini led. When I said replace, it was more about changing which tv was going to be the main setup tv. Not replace as in it’s outdated. I bought the OLED thinking it would be better as my main, and it wasn’t. So I returned it.
