And I'm talking for recreational use, not just medical marijuana.
Right now we have two states where MJ is flat out legal, and 20 where medical marijuana is legal. Not much, but that's more than it seemed like was possible 15 years ago. But of course, who knows how long it'd take for less liberal states to come around, and it's hard to see the federal ban ending until most states have already legalized it. We're already at the point where a majority of the US thinks it should be legal, but considering the government is (mostly) run by old, authoritarian white guys, the gov is usually very far behind when it comes to social issues.
So what do you think? Will marijuana be legal in five years? 10? 20? 30? Further in the future in that? Or is it still beyond the realm of possibility?
