The reason sampling isn't done more isn't because its not 'popular' it is because it can be expensive.

nah the reason is...this era of producers r lazy n found a cheaper more efficient way to make a beat...

the west kinda(dj slip n cmw)started what salih williams capatiized n brought it back on when the texas wave came thru the game...with sittin sidewayz n still tipping with swishahouse n s.u.c samples

Did you just say NAH then agree with me?

It is easier to sample than it is to bring someone in to replay a sample. The reason they replay samples is because it is cheaper.

Word nikkas nowadays can make a 1g off making a 4 bar loop. That would at max take 15 minutes to make. Ship it out to the right rapper and you got yourself a multiplatinum hit.

We have the technology and it is more economically feasible for a producer to simply produce his own shyt. Rather than waste time diggin in the crates, building a song off a sample, then potentially lose money in having to clear it.
