As mobile devices have steadily increased in their power, efficiency and ubiquity over the years, Rockstar Games have seen it fit to release mobile versions of their most popular games - usually on the 10th year anniversaries of their console release dates.
Until now, however, these games have been limited to the PS1 and PS2 console generation. The jump to the PS3 was exponentially greater than that of the PS1 to PS2 that preceded it.
According to Wikipedia, the PS3 is roughly 65 times more powerful than the PS2 (400.4Gflops vs 6.2Gflops). What this could mean for the renowned game development studio is yet to be seen.
There might be no need for eager gamers to be worried just yet though, as one article from the Macrumors shows the iPhone 7 series scored better and faster than any Macbook Air ever made before 2015. So there's still a good chance our phones might let us go bowling again with cousin Roman in 2018.
